These terms and conditions apply to a booking made with Sail Away Yacht Holidays.
Yacht Charter Company: Sail Away Yacht Holidays.
Charterer: The person booking the yacht charter with Sail Away Yacht Holidays.
Taking a reservation on a holiday will take place by sending the Yacht Charter Company an email or by making a reservation by phone. To secure the reservation a Booking Form must be submitted by the Charterer. Once the Booking Form has been received, the Yacht Charter Company will send a confirmation with details of the methods of payment available. If the Charterer does not pay according to the terms of payment the Yacht Charter Company will invoice the cancellation costs as detailed below.
Terms of Payment
A deposit of 30% of the holiday price is required to secure a booking and balance six weeks before departure to Greece. If the Charterer books within six weeks for departure to Greece payment of the whole invoice amount is required. If the Charterer books within two weeks before departure to Greece the Yacht Charter Company will ask the Charterer to pay cash or make an immediate bank transfer for the full amount.
Cancellation of the Sailing Holiday
If the Charterer cancels the booking in the period six weeks before departure to Greece, the deposit of 30% will not be refunded. If the Charterer cancels the holiday in the period within the six weeks before departure to Greece, the total invoiced amount is due to the Yacht Charter Company.
If in the unlikely event and for reasons beyond the control of the Yacht Charter Company the holiday has to be cancelled then all monies paid will be refunded in full.
Sailing Holiday Period
The holiday period is measured by whole days. Holiday start and end days are Sunday.
Only the agreed number of people detailed on the booking form will be allowed on the yacht. If it is necessary for the holiday to be cancelled or incur extra costs the right to claim a refund will not be possible.
Travellers to Greece from countries within the EU will require a passport and from other countries they should check should different rules apply before travelling. Vaccinations are not required. The Yacht Charter Company requires all members of the holiday party to have adequate travel and health insurance, together with the new EHIC Card. ( the old E111 equivalent ).
The Yacht Charter Company will not be held responsible for damage, injuries, loss, robbery/stealing which can occur during your sailing holiday as arranged by the Yacht Charter Company. It is the responsibility of the Charterer for the safety and security of all items of personal property brought on the yacht.
