There is always improvements and repairs to be done on a yacht. Yacht Changes were afoot. Work on one of the bunk cabins is under way. Inachos has two bunk cabins and whilst they currently offer two berths in each cabin they are both more suited to just one person occupancy. We are therefore removing the top bunk in the starboard cabin and this we hope will give a more spacious feel to the cabin.
Have had the work completed and the job has been done to a very high standard. Absolutely delighted with the end result. This starboard cabin is now perfect for single occupancy. Skipper will use this when there are guest on board. It was then necessary to consider replacing the hob and oven.
New Hob and Oven
There is a large selection of new oven/hobs available. After much research we settled on an Italian made model. Delivered promptly and I fitted without much problem. This nice new sparkly unit has improved the look of the meal making area. Yet no one has yet used the oven. The local Tavernas are hard to beat. Consequently the oven will stay looking pristine for some time to come.
A Few Jobs outside
After a few months in the water all yachts will need some attention. The hull may need a scrub and new anti foul applied. The Mediterranean though is generally very clean and the hull will not take on too much weed. Barnacles will make a bee line for the propeller if the yacht is stationary too long. They will form a ball that covers the propeller and virtually all propulsion will be lost. When the yacht is lifted out at the end of the season a light high pressure spray will clean. This avoids having to apply anti foul.
